Maintain a high-performing Supply Chain team for Novartis Pharma. Develop, implement and be accountable for Supply Chain strategic, tactical, and operational plans for AEM NPhS in order to ensure continuous supply of Novartis quality medi-cines to Patients. Establish a clear and effective Business ownership for Supply Chain processes with-in the CPO SCM organization to ensure adherence and sustainability of the defined standards.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Supply Chain processes to ensure aligning and supporting business vision and goals
  • Drive SC team to Perform collaboratively with Internal and external Stakeholders to ensure Novartis medicines always available for patient needs.
  • Support building a strong continuous business improvement culture.
  • Contribute to financial and business results in quantitative and qualitative ways.
  • Develop effective and strong working relationships with AEM NPhS distributors
  • Ensure governance of the processes of the unit and align the related role’s
  • key accountabilities with global Supply Chain directions.
  • Ensure local business process owners contribute to the continuous improvement of the defined Standards providing inputs and actively participating to global initiatives.
  • Make best use of available budget and resources.
  • Drive SC activities to ensure effective Launching of new products.
  • Full support and promotion of Novartis Compliance and Quality standards

    

Essential Requirement:

  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, demand (pharmaceuticals or FMCG)
  • Drive state-of-the art value chain processes such as S&OP, collaborative planning between affiliates (country organizations) and supplying plants, Warehouse & Distribution as well as life-cycle management processes (launches, transfers, changes, pruning).
  • Formulates and develops AEM NPhS markets supply chain strategies and policies.
  • Support Product life cycle management ( Launching, Site transfer , variation,
  • pruning and divestment)
  • Pro-actively monitor and predict market, business environment, quality/regulatory and technical changes and adapt supply models accordingly
  • Support global SC improvements initiatives and lead it over AEM NPhS markets
  • Lead distribution network activities that allow products to be delivered in a timely bases maintaining high level of services.
  • Develop tender management related activities (from Invitation to supply)
  • Direct inventory management strategies over distributor level
  • Develop Local manufacturing projects and ensure MENA 3rd party supply plans is supporting demand needs in close collaboration with Basel External Supply organization
  • Ensure ERP system is used effectively and all static data and operating parameters is applied effectively
  • Promote and lead continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure that right communication channels in place and effectively used
  • Lead order management processes for AEM NPhS markets

Desirable Requirement:

  • Education - University graduate, degree in Science, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, Business, Finance, or Engineering, or similar.
